WHAT IS “SUNPOWERED” SHREDDING?
Our trucks and all shredding operations rely on the use of waste vegetable oil or “WVO”. No oil that might otherwise be used for human consumption is burned. It is Carbon Neutral because its 100% vegetable oil. The process of photosynthesis which converted carbon dioxide into plant material is solar powered. The burning of oil rendered from the plant material is 1:1; no more or less, thus, carbon neutral. WVO, when consumed as fuel in a diesel engine, the result is zero, that’s 0% sulphur emissions, which is the major source of smog.
